Brassocatanthe Little Mermaid 'Janet'- In bloom with four flowers, not fragrant (yet?), one bud seems loose at the base, opening prematurely. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Complete Orchid Collection Update - September 2015
Amesiella monticola - Growing a new leaf. Previous new leaf mostly eaten by bug. |
Bletilla striata - Outdoor growing orchids. No seed pods produced, but growth has been good. |
Brassia New Start - Vigorously growing four new growths. Lots of new roots. Seems to be adjusting to lava rock without major problems. |
Brassocatanthe Little Mermaid 'Janet' - buds in sheath swelling and looking to emerge soon. |
Bulbophyllum echinolabium - pushing two new growths or spikes, still undetermined. |
Bulbophyllum Lovely Elizabeth - One spike growing, about 2 cm in length |
Bulbophyllum medusae - ten spikes identified, swelling, 1.5 cm in length |
Bulbophyllum rufinum - no spikes identified |
Cattleya rex seedlings - summer pseudobulbs completed, new roots sprouting and eyes swelling for new pseudobulbs. Pests have eaten a previous flush of new roots. |
Cypripedium Anna - next year's eye spotted, although this year's growth is dry and black. |
Maxillariella tenuifolia - pushing one or two new pseudobulbs per growth. Expected to double in size. |

Old growths repotted in fresh medium after bathing in water with bleach. Many brown spots on leaves, but not sure if these are bacterial, fungal, or sunburn. |
